Cool [H] IRISH DRIFT NETS

"Great news for the fishermen at last!!!!" The ban on the Irish drift nets from Jan 07, not before time. The Irish government have at last realised that a net caught salmon, is worth a lot less than a rod caught salmon, for everybody concerned with angling. After years of attempted persuasion from scientests and fishermen. Is it too late but  for some smaller rivers? Has the dinosaur slaughter tactics from the Irish government of our wild atlantic salmon and seatrout gone beyond natural repair?
